Tripwires are cables and chains that serve as triggers for old-fashioned traps. They are used extensively in Hessian Castle and the home of the Hisomu Clan. In Oshi City, tripwires have been done away with in favor of their laser counterparts, which can be used repeatedly to trigger turrets and other defensive systems. However, tripwires are more difficult to bypass. Whereas lasers can be blocked by smoke or deactivated with a guard's RFID, tripwires are entirely physical and will be triggered if anyone touches them. Only someone with Mark of Serenity#unnatural speed could bypass them without activating the trap.
